How to Grow Microgreens at Home

Growing microgreens at home is easy and requires minimal space. Follow these simple steps:
Choose Your Microgreen Seeds
Select fast-growing seeds like:
  • Broccoli
  • Radish
  • Mustard
  • Coriander
  • Sunflower
  •  Pea Shoots
Prepare a Growing Tray
  • Use a shallow container or seed tray (with drainage holes).
  • Fill it with organic potting soil or coconut coir (a soilless option).
Sow the Seeds
  • Sprinkle the seeds evenly over the soil.
  • Lightly press them down but don’t bury them.
Watering & Covering
  • Mist the seeds gently with water.
  • Cover the tray with a lid or damp cloth for 2-3 days (helps germination).
Provide Light & Airflow

After germination, place the tray in indirect sunlight (or use grow lights).
  • Water daily using a spray bottle (avoid overwatering).
  • Ensure good airflow to prevent mold.
Harvesting (7-21 Days)
  • When microgreens grow 2-3 inches tall and develop their first true leaves, they’re ready to harvest!
  • Cut them just above the soil using scissors.
Storing & Using Microgreens
  • Store in the refrigerator (wrapped in a damp paper towel).
  • Use in salads, sandwiches, smoothies, or as a garnish.
