Select fast-growing seeds like:
- Broccoli
- Radish
- Mustard
- Coriander
- Sunflower
- Pea Shoots
- Use a shallow container or seed tray (with drainage holes).
- Fill it with organic potting soil or coconut coir (a soilless option).
- Sprinkle the seeds evenly over the soil.
- Lightly press them down but don’t bury them.
- Mist the seeds gently with water.
- Cover the tray with a lid or damp cloth for 2-3 days (helps germination).
After germination, place the tray in indirect sunlight (or use grow lights).
- Water daily using a spray bottle (avoid overwatering).
- Ensure good airflow to prevent mold.
- When microgreens grow 2-3 inches tall and develop their first true leaves, they’re ready to harvest!
- Cut them just above the soil using scissors.
- Store in the refrigerator (wrapped in a damp paper towel).
- Use in salads, sandwiches, smoothies, or as a garnish.
